♥ False Nails On A Budget ♥

Hi beauty bugs, So prom season is coming up soon and your going to want to look amazing and if your on a budget or just don't want to spend money going to the salon then I've got the thing for you.  I love these nails they are affordable and you get quite a lot of nails in the pack too. I've used mine a couple times so you do get more than what mine shows.

So these are what the ones I picked up they are the short square ones and even though they are the short ones I still cut them down a little bit so they are more manageable but that's just my preference. They do last quite a good amount of time about a week until the odd one starts falling off. And if you want to take them off get a cotton ball or anything similar and soak it in nail polish remover and put it on the nail and wrap tin foil (aluminium foil if your in the USA) around the nail and let it sit for about 20-30 mins and they should peel off with no trouble.

This is what the nails look like unpolished and after I've cut them down to size and filed them.

And with a nude polish ( I apologize for my painting skills I am the worst nail painter ever , also there's a little bit of glue at the side but that's really east to get off.

So there you have it these nails cost £6.49 at full price from Superdrug and Boots and you get 100 nails and you can proberly get 5 or 6 different application out of them and they do come with glue , so that basically comes in at like £1.00 per wear which is so much more affordable then salons for if your on a budget. And they are full cover nails not just tips, they do these types of nails in the short square ( What I have here ) , active square and active oval.

I absolutely love these nails they look good , last a good amount of time and are so affordable if your passing these shops and are curious then just try them , you won't be disappointed .

Thank you for reading and I will see you in my next post

♥ Braces:My Story ♥

Hi beauty bugs! ( Do you like the name). So I wanted to do this post on my journey with braces just in case any of you have braces, want them or just curious on what it's like to have them.

Right so there are a few different types of braces and they are:

  • Metal Braces and these are sometimes known as track braces like the picture at the side.
  • Clear/Ceramic Braces and these are similar to the picture at the side but without the brackets (The square metal bits on each tooth).
  • Lingual Braces which are similar to metal braces but there on the back of your teeth and not on the front.
  • Clear Braces and invisalign, which are pretty self explanatory they are braces that you can't see and look invisible.
So they are the different types I had the metal braces and I had them on for a little over 2 and a half years. I had to have a special fluoride toothpaste that was prescribed by my dentist because my teeth wasn't strong enough to be able to keep getting tightened , and because of this I had 2 small holes in my teeth nothing major and you cant see them now.

So like I said they had to be tightened every 6 weeks and I'm not going to lie I hated getting them tightened because a few hours after they become sore and I couldn't eat properly only soft foods or foods that wasn't crunchy for like day or two.

But my teeth wasn't really bad to begin with they just wasn't straight and 2 of my teeth grew onto my gums and not in line with the rest. Things to avoid when you have braces are fizzy pops or any drinks that are really sugary , hard foods like apples etc as these can snap the wire or really chewy foods such as toffee for the same reason.

Now that my braces have been taken off I have retainers which are a removable brace that you either wear on a night/day and take it out when you eat and drink. And if you have a retainer then it's crucial to wear it because if you don't your teeth can move back to the way they was , and then you've gone through all the trouble of having braces and taking care of them for nothing. I wear mine on a night so that's like 8/9 hours, when I first got it I had to wear it for 24hrs and then only on a night. And your dentist will tell you how to clean them.

Make sure you are taking a little extra care of your teeth when you have braces and I'm not saying brush them 5 times a day but just take a few extra minutes to brush them than you would without your braces and if you can use mouthwash then that's a bonus on getting super clean teeth , I personally can't use mouthwash as I start to get an itchy rash and my orthodontist said it wasn't the be all and end all so if you can't use mouthwash then don't worry about it.

So there you are I hope I've covered everything about braces and if you have any questions that I haven't covered then either leave me a comment down below or tweet me at @missjadehornby. And I'll do my best to answer it.
Thank You for reading and I'll see you in my next post

♥ Glitterature: Step Back In Time By Ali McNamara ♥

So first things first , I absolutely loved this book it was one of those books you really can't put down ( And that my lovely little book worms is a sign of a great book). When I first started reading this book I didn't know it was by Ali McNamara , I mean obviously it says it on the cover but I didn't know she wrote a book a couple years ago that I loved ( from Notting Hill With Love Actually ) , so once I found out she wrote that I knew that I would proberly like this book too.

Blurb: " How far would you travel to find the love of a lifetime , when single career girl Jo-Jo steps onto a zebra crossing and get's hit by a car.
She awakes to find herself in 1963 , the fashion , the music , her job , even her romantic life. Everything is different and then it happens three more times and Jo-Jo finds herself living a completely new life in the 1970's , 80's and 90's.
The only people she can rely on are Harry and Ellie , two companions from 2013 and George , the owner of a second hand record shop , is she's ever to return from her travels Jo-Jo must work out why she's jumping through time like this and if she does make it back will her life ever be the same again".

What I Liked About It: I liked that it was so easy to read in the sense that you can get into the book pretty fast and sucked into the story , I hardly put this book down. It's a really fun girly book the kind of book that after a long day you just curl up and get lost in the story , basically it's time travel for women ( btw I'm totally not sexiest).

The story itself is really great like why is she jumping through time and will she ever get back , it's kind of a story within a story as she faces dilemmas and people in the same boat as her in each era and also every time she goes to the next era she always brings something back from the previous era. And there is a strong Beatles element in this book too from song lyrics to people so see if you can pick up on that if you read it.

The Chapters are quite short which I like as you feel your getting through the book quicker than you would if they was longer.

What I didn't Like: Not much really the only thing I would say is that the ending you can kind of see coming (and sometimes I like to be surprised) , but that doesn't take anything away from the book and it is still a great read.

So in all it's a cute , light hearted , fun , girly book (Like most of her books which I love). So definitely check out this book if you haven't already and I'll give it a 9/10. So thank you for reading and I will see you in my next post
